CARTHAGE. Carthage. Circa 290-270 BC. Stater (Electrum, 19 mm, 7.48 g, 12 h). Head of Tanit to left, wearing grain wreath, triple-pendant earring and pearl necklace with ten pendants. Rev. Horse standing to right on a single exergual line; no visible pellets. Jameson 924. Jenkins & Lewis Group VII, 347ff (struck from seemingly unpublished dies). SNG Copenhagen 988. An example from the latest series with the large head of Tanit that is typical for this group. Clear and nicely centered. Minor graffito on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
