CENTRAL EUROPE, Rhineland. Ubii. Circa 30-5 BC. Quinarius (Silver, 14 mm, 1.43 g, 9 h), late stage of 'tanzendes Männlein' type, sometimes referred to as 'hockendes Männlein' type. From the collection of a French specialist and from the collection of Marc Petit, acquired from Maison Platt in 1997.

Rare 'hockendes Männlein', or 'crouching man' issue, which is considered the late stage of the much more common 'tanzendes Männlein', or 'dancing man' type.
